Centralia, PA is a desolate moon scape that exists today from the still burning fire that started in 1962 in the coal mine under the town. The government spent 42 million demolishing the homes and buildings in town that were not destroyed by the fire coming up from underground in the mine. People were evacuated from the fires and poisionous gases escaping. Approximately a dozen die-hard residents refuse to leave, but the government is saying enough and the end is near for this little town.
