ADMIN NOTE: A friend sent this to me and I want to put it up for an alternative for your consideration…………I am not supporting anyone at this point, just trying to give you options.
The time is now to elect a dedicated citizen and not a politician to the US Senate. It is time for significant change and for a true Constitutional Conservative to represent the people of Arizona and the American citizen. Jim Deakin is that Citizen Legislator. He is not from an ‘elite’ politically connected family but is an everyday, average American who honorably served in the military. He is an honest, dedicated and hard-working individual who, along with millions of our fellow Americans, knows it’s time to replace the current tired, politics-as-usual incumbents. The time is now to defend our Constitution and the ideologies that constructed it.
Liberty and the Constitution
Jim’s passion is for the concepts of individual liberty and the Constitution. “We want to reduce the size of government. We want to repeal oppressive nanny state regulation. We need citizen legislators again. I’ll go and fix what needs to be fixed and I will come home. If Congress is not in session that requires my vote, I will be back in Arizona in the office working for you. The Senator should be accountable to the Arizona State legislature. I believe the 17th amendment should be repealed”, referring to the Senators being popularly elected instead of by the legislatures of the various states as was the case at the founding of the constitution.
Immigration and Border Security
Legal immigration is what made this country great and what will keep us safe. Everyone that comes to this great country must do so legally. I do not support amnesty and am steadfast in securing our borders, enforcing visa laws and eliminating illegal immigration. Border security is National Security. We must secure the Arizona border now. Aliens cross our borders in hope of amnesty. We must remove their incentives for entering illegally. We are a Republic and violation of our laws have consequences. Everyone is encouraged to petition our government for citizenship however, the back of the line starts in their home country, not our back yards.

uinnipiac Poll: Obama Would Lose to ‘Unnamed Republican’
Wednesday, 21 Jul 2010
By: David A. Patten
President Obama’s standing with American voters is so low that the latest Quinnipiac University poll indicates Obama would lose an election to “an unnamed Republican” — meaning any GOP opponent — by 39 to 36 percent.
The poll shows Obama’s job approval hitting a new low, 44 percent approval to 48 percent disapproval. That is the president’s worst net score ever, according to Quinnipiac.
The most drastic news for the president politically: His approval with the critical independent voters is dismal.
By a stunning 52 percent to 38 percent, independent voters disapprove of Obama. And by 37 to 27 percent, independents say they would vote for a Republican contender in 2012.
Overall, by a 48 percent to 40 percent margin, American voters say that President Obama does not deserve to be reelected in 2012.
While the Obama administration has time to turn around its low approval ratings before its next election, the poll is likely to sound alarm bells on Capitol Hill where many members of Congress will be up for reelection in November. Midterm elections tend to be a referendum on the party in power.
Voters apparently have a “pox on both their houses” mentality when it comes to Congress, giving both Republican and Democratic members very low marks. But that may be little consolation to Democrats on the ballot in November……………….read more
